Developing regional precast infrastructure for Central West NSW

Central West Precast is an early-stage business concept focused on future precast utility pits, communications pits, electrical pits, service plinths and culvert capability for regional infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking contractors, utilities, councils, suppliers and technical partners to help shape product requirements, field trial opportunities and low-carbon material validation.

Each category below is an early concept, not a current product — every design direction is intended to be shaped against real installation conditions and network specifications through partner feedback, not decided in isolation.

Underground pits

Proposed communications and electrical access pit concepts, intended to align with typical network operator pit and cover specifications.

Standards-led from the concept stage

Product development is intended to target relevant Australian Standards and network operator specifications from the outset. No product category on this site is currently certified, approved, or available for supply — see our Technical Approach page for exactly what stage each category is at.

Intended low-carbon material pathway

Planning a lower-embodied-carbon option, honestly

Standard precast is made with ordinary Portland cement, one of the more emissions-intensive materials in general use. We intend to develop and test geopolymer and other alternative binder concrete as a lower-embodied-carbon option for our proposed product roadmap — this work is still at concept and planning stage. Central West Precast will not claim carbon reduction, compliance or suitability until that work is supported by testing and documentation.
